About Brian Shaw Concert Promotions

We are a private company specialising in the presentation and promotion of live entertainment concerts and events. 

Throughout the eighties and nineties Brian Shaw was responsible for the presentation of some of the most high profile concert tours in the light entertainment industry. At the very peak of their popularity many of the brightest stars of the day including The Shadows, Freddie Starr, Michael Barrymore, Lenny Henry, Elkie Brooks, Danny La Rue, Bruce Forsyth, Leo Sayer, The Black & White Minstrels, Larry Grayson and Hale & Pace all toured under the banner of Brian Shaw Management.

In the early eighties Brian was responsible for transforming the British Summer Season with the introduction of his revolutionary Season of The Stars format which, for the first time, saw many of the most recognisable stars of the day including many of the aforementioned along with Les Dawson, Lena Zavaroni, Tommy Cooper, Cannon & Ball and Matt Munro etc., abandon the traditional resident season in favour of a rotating tour format where resort venues could enjoy a new attraction every week.

In recent years the operation has become rather more streamlined and the new company offers a vast experience of the British Theatre industry and a very exclusive clientele whose live concerts we are proud to present. These clients include Jim Davidson, Des O’Connor, Richard Digance and Jane McDonald.

Additionally, we have several ‘venue clients’ including The Britannia Theatre, Great Yarmouth and The Pavilion Theatre, Weymouth on whose behalf we are retained to programme the theatre, primarily during the summer months but increasingly on a year round basis. Attractions engaged for these venues over the past couple of years have included Jethro, Jimmy Carr, The Searchers, Ken Dodd, Derek Acorah, Joe Longthorne, Lee Hurst, Dominic Kirwan and The Chuckle Brothers.
